Dear Nikolai,
I just wanted to write you a little note, thank you for changing this season. I am sorry that I wanted you traded, I really am. Thank you for taking chances when you play hockey, when it works and we score you look like a god.
I want to thank you for learning to be a teammate and for being happier this year. Everything that has happened in the past is now forgotten. We are over half way finished with the season, I believe we have 37 games left. Every single night we can count on you now. In the shootout you are dependable you have scored every single time you are put out there (4 of 4). You always know how to make the goalie look stupid.
I am glad that you are happy in Columbus, I hope you know the fans are glad you are here. We all cheer for you every single time you touch the puck because you never know when you will pull an amazing move. I like when they show you sitting on the bench talking to your mates, I know you don’t speak a lot of english, but to see you communicating with them makes me smile. You are currently sitting with 17 goals and 19 assists, you have FOUR more points then you had all of last year. Thank you for your effort. Thank you for being dependable.
I have this feeling that this season you are going to surpass your 05-06 season points total. I think you are going to take over the most points on the team. I can see you becoming a leader, I have faith in you Z. I am glad you are on my team.
