TWO POINTS GAINED…MEANS……
By Bethany | February 8, 2008
I am posting again!!! Freddy Norrena got a WIN!! Jason Chimera scored a short handed goal and Nikolai Zherdev scored a power play game winner……….HOORAY!! The team played outstanding in front of Freddy for the first time this season. Adam Foote played nearly 30 minutes in the game.
My beloved, Ole-Kristian Tollefson, was knocked out by by Craig Weller in what was considered a cheap shot. I unfortunately was watching Lost at the time so I missed it. However after reviewing the hit, on YouTube…I will agree that it was not a friendly hit and could definitely be considered a Cheap Shot…not nice Weller…not nice!!
Hooray for us…I don’t know what to say. I am speechless. Go Jackets.

Twin, how can you think that’s a cheap shot? Tollie came at HIM ready to fight! How is it a cheap shot when he’s only defending himself. I understand that it’s a sore subject for C-bus fans because he got hurt but it’s not a cheap shot. He wanted a fight and he got it. It’s not Weller’s fault he didn’t have a chance to throw any shots. If it was Tollie who had hit Weller and dropped him would you still say it was cheap?
We’ll have to agree to disagree on this one. I was watching live and Tollie skated up to him wanting to fight and avenge Ricky. He got his wish. *shrug*

The only reason I say it was a cheap shot was because Ole didn’t have his gloves off…yet…so it would have been nice for Weller to wait…but I do agree that if Ole was coming at me regardless of whether he had his gloves on or not…I’d punch him out too.
It really reminds me of that Tootoo hit last year with the Stars…I’ll have to find the youtube of that…

There it is…it’s not exactly the same…but close.

Twin! I think it’s considered a cheap shot if you’re not expecting it or you don’t see it coming. You skate up for a fight, you’d better be ready, regardless of whether you’ve had the good sense to fling your gloves across the ice yet or not.
