The Columbus Blue Jackets apparently came out flat…which is to be expected when you just lost two members of your leadership group. I unfortunately was unable to watch the game because I was hanging out in the hospital with my best friend who was and still is currently in labor. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
Back to the game, apparently I missed a doozy of a game, well sort of Rick Nash asked Brian Campbell to fight twice apparently. Nash….don’t fight, I know I know you probably like it, but really I like your hands, you wouldn’t want to mess those up on his face.

I think probably one of the biggest highlights for me just looking at the scoresheet was the fact that David Vyborny had two goals, it’s nice to see him stepping it up.
As many Blue Jacket fans know, Jody Shelley was traded away and made his first return to Nationwide Arena. There was a video tribute to him and he received a standing ovation, I had every intention on going but with my friend in labor, I just couldn’t do it.
Also, I know I had a bit of a breakdown with Foote getting traded, but I never jumped ship (ok maybe I did) or left the Blue Jackets as a fan. I don’t think we’ll be winning too many games the rest of this season but I have all the faith in the world in Hitchcock and Howson and I know that everything they do is for good reason. I just hope that this summer we canxt sign a top line center and make a run for it next season. It is great to see that Rome is getting his chance to play up with the big club, I have been a fan of his for years, and besides guys got a Cup ring. The future is bright for the Blue Jackets even though the present is a little rough. Go Jackets!
