Pre-Game Detroit…
By Bethany | March 16, 2008
I feel like we haven’t played the Wings in forever. I hate Sunday afternoon games though we don’t do too well. I don’t really have a lot to say about this game. Pazzy is in net. I’m a bit nervous, the Wings lost at home last night. Expect them to be mad, hit hard, have the puck a lot, and just be down right not fun to play against. Expect the Jackets to be mad…and ready to play. The loss at home against the Hawks left a bad taste in everyones mouth. Here are the keys to the game, courtesy of Ken Hitchcock…
Keep the puck in their zone.
Execute the game plan.
Need crisp passing.
Help out your teammates
Into the game early, shoot shoot shoot.
Test the opposition, be aggressive.
Check, check, check
Hitch is the best coach in the NHL, listen to what he says and apply it. How many times do I have to say that?!
Cheer, this is for the fans, Wings fans invade our building, don’t let them over power you!
Close out the periods on high notes, score, don’t take penalties, be smart.
Keep possession of the puck.
