Sit down and shut up.
Listen to what I have to say, then maybe you can speak.
So, you want to make the playoffs? You want to prove to the NHL that you’re not a joke? You want to prove you have what it takes to stay in the NHL, well start acting like it!
You can’t blame Ken Hitchcock, he’s the best coach in the NHL. You can’t blame Scott Howson for not making a trade, look at yourself. Look at what you’re doing, look at how you’re playing, look at how you’re practicing.
Norrena, last night was a tough loss for you, I realize that. You’re an amazing goaltender you weren’t getting the help you deserved, in fact you never do. But, you did try and I appreciate that. In talking to my very good friend who happens to be a goaltender and looking at the replays of all the goals you let in, you really didn’t stand a chance on any of those. I forgive you for last night, you are entitled to a bad night, it’s ok, just next game don’t let it happen.
Westcott, Russell, & Novotny, what the hell? You guys were combined minus-9, what were you doing out there? Every single one of you looked like you could care less about what was going on in that game, you looked like you had better things to do. Did you have better things to do? I thought you guys wanted to win, this was a CENTRAL DIVISION OPPONENT! We have to win these games if we want a chance.
Nash, I know you didn’t deserve that diving penalty, that was a bull shit call, but still, it was one of those nights that you weren’t playing your hardest, I know you just got back from the West coast, I’m sure you had tons of fun out there, but it’s back to the grind now boys, this is the time where we fight for the playoffs. We need to get it going.
Leclaire, I know you were stuck in Columbus, I understand you’re sick with your viral infection, but get better, and get back to October form. Get some more shutouts under your belt. You deserve them and so does the team.
Zherdev your moves amaze me. You amaze me, I know you got injured last night, I’m impressed that you came out for the second period, I hope that you are better quickly, because we need you in the line up.
Murray, you play with all you have every single night, you’re always willing to dig in the corners, I respect that. Get better soon.
The rest of you, step it up, not because you owe it to the fans (which you do), not because I am telling you to (and you better listen to me), do it for yourself. If you are tired of losing act like it. Nash you had it right when you said last night:
“This is how it used to be.”
If you want to change it, then do it.
Vyborny, I adore you, I really do, I know you have had injury after injury this year, I am sure you are worried about a contract which is still impending, and about a trade that may or may not happen. Please quit worrying about it. You are here, you are playing for us right now, the contract is good until July 1, 2008, play up until that point. Show us how you always play, show me the guy who is the Blue Jackets leading point getter every year. Show us what we expect of you…please…we need that guy back.
Feds you are making A LOT of money this year, so please please please score some goals. Foote. Hejda, good job, you were a +1 last night, that was a difficult thing, I am very impressed with your skills, thank you two for leading the way. Hejda you set a real example on the ice and follow Foote.
Captain, I hope that you let them have it in the dressing room last night, that was an embarrassment, and I hope you let them know that. I also hope that on Friday you beat the hell out of DJ King that stupid bastard deserves it. Speaking of which, Boll thank you for keeping your cool last night, I am sure it was difficult for you, but way to be.
If you do not win on Friday we can kiss our playoff hopes goodbye, so think about whether you want to be part of a winning team or a losing team, then play that way. You choose your destiny, there are no excuses, none.
