Pazzy, you’re my All Star…
By Bethany | January 26, 2008
This post could also be titled “Feds you are my hero” but it’s not going to be. Let’s start off with a little bit of information, according to one of the Dispatch’s blogs said that Feds had left the team and gone on an early All Star Break. Something happened though, I don’t know what, maybe he got one of those moments where he said I am a Leader…I am a veteran I need to do something. Whatever it was, he stayed, he was in the Blue Jackets locker room and wrote an unspecified amount on the board. Whoever got the game winning goal, got the amount, straight from Feds checking account. (Sorry Pazzy you’re out of luck) The Jackets came out of the gate knowing we needed to win this game. The Jackets were coming off a huge win against the Dallas Stars, and well we needed to end the road trip and go into the All Star Break on a high point. WE DID IT.
Jared Boll scored the lone goal of the game. It was his fifth goal of the season. He got the cash from Feeds. I really want to know how much it was…I’ll see what I can do. (Don’t count on me figuring it out) Regardless, we won, and it’s funny that we won 1-0. I was talking to my wonderful HLOG sister Kristin and was talking about how I was a “Hitch Girl” I like one goal and then seeing the goaltenders acrobatics. I like defense first. Then when Aaron Portzline put his blog up and wrote this:
– This was coach Ken Hitchcock’s dream game. Only one goal was scored, by his guys. The checking was outrageously good. His goalie pitched a shutout. His killers went 5-for-5. Hitch will be a in a good mood the next few days. At least until he watches the All-Star Game. Can you imagine Hitch watching the All-Star Game. No checking. No hitting. A 13 1/2 goal over-under? Arrrrggghhh!
Haha, I thought it was funny. I like goalscoring but, I like to win games, and I don’t want my goaltenders GAA going up…it’s not fun for me. Speaking of my goaltender…isn’t he a beauty? He is currently leading the league in shutouts, and in save %. He IS our All Star. Also, a pretty cool fact Rick Nash and Nikolai Zherdev are tied for point leader. Anyway, it was a great game for the Blue Jackets. Unfortunately, I fell asleep and missed the end of the game, but I see the end result and I couldn’t be happier. Go Jackets…and Ricky…make us proud this weekend.
