Ouch, that hurt.

It really sucks when you lose a game with 11.4 seconds remaining in the third period. Michael Peca took a stupid penalty and the Red Wings scored on the power play to tie it up. Then in the dying seconds of the game, Zetterberg scored a goal off of Pazzy’s goal pad. It was kind of fitting for the Jackets though, we have some of the worst luck in the league, always have. Here are my thoughts on the game:
- Aaron Rome scoring his first NHL goal was the highlight of my night. He’s such a great player and we were really lucky to acquire him, he will be a full time NHLer next season, which is really good.
- Pascal Leclaire was outstanding, I am so glad to have him back, in the pipes even if it is for the last few games of the season.
- I thought a lot of people didn’t play very well, they should have, and they didn’t.
- Hasek was awful, we should have won the game.
- I am ready for the end of the season, and ready to get into the off season. SO nervous, and happy, it’s a strange feeling.
I don’t really know what else to say. Go Jackets.
Oh, by the way, Jiri Novotny, is probably done for the season, so Zenon will be up. Portzline said, he didn’t play well, uhm, I didn’t notice…I didn’t notice him at ALL. Portzline has had a man crush on Konopka for a while now, so a little shocked to see him write that. By the way, I feel awful for Pazzy reading this quote:
“I felt good all night,” Leclaire said. “A little bad luck at the end. It’s unfortunate. We were right there. They never stop, but we were right there. It’s just one of those bounces. But if you look at it another way, they hit two or three posts today, and any of those could have gone in, too.
“I guess they got one bounce back.”
Poor poor Pazzy

Pazzy rocks. He was outstanding (almost) the whole game. I still keep picturing him laying down in the net after that last goal.
Rome, I was happy to see your boy score. Loved watching him hand his stick back to the trainer to keep.
Boll, where was he? Did he even play the 1st period?
Nash, he really needs a goal.
Not sure why everyone pre-game had a semi for Konopka- I didn’t notice him either.
So that’s my take on the game. Sunday I will be sitting in the club section where I hear the nachos are fantastic.

I agree with you. I’m excited you’re going to the game!! Have fun. I’m guessing the boys aren’t going?
