Meet my Captain!!

It was announced today that Rick Nash is now the Captain of the Columbus Blue Jackets. This is definitely the best thing that has happened to this franchise in a long time. It’s time for Rick Nash to step up. It’s time for Rick Nash to lead the way. He can do it, but he’s certainly not going to do it alone. We have other veterans to help. Michael Peca, Freddy Mo, David Vyborny, they can help too. This is seriously amazing news for our franchise. I know I’m not the only one happy about it. But, Rick, he can do it, I have all the faith in the world, and I am happy to have him as my Captain. Here is a video of the press conference, Hitch looks unbelievably happy. GO JACKETS!

Nice blog! You’re the first Blue Jackets blog I’ve stumbled upon, and it’s really well done. I’ve always kind of liked the Jackets because Nash seems like a great person and I know he’s a great player (one I’d love to have on the Stars… but that’s another story), and I still have a big softspot in my heart for Hitch because he did so many amazing things with the Stars.
Anyway, nice to “meet” you.

I need you to know that I was sitting next to a Canucklehead Nash-lookalike last night. I wanted to get a pic of him for you but I think his girlfriend/wife person might have tackled me.
