12:09 I’m shuttin her down for the night…end of period 2! JACKETS 3 KINGS 1!! Game recap will be up tomorrow!
12:05 Kings weren’t able to capitalize and score remained 3-1 Jackets!
12:01 Stupid people need to stop taking penalties…Kings have a 5 on 3.
11:56 Dustin Brown took an interference call…Jackets on the power play. I’m getting sleepy this may not last long…
11:50 GOAL Kyle Calder scored JACKETS 3 KINGS 1
11:48 Jared Boll just took a hooking penalty…Kings on the power play.
11:46 Malhotra and Nash collided GOAL Jason Chimera got his 2nd of the night. JACKETS 3 KINGS 0
11:42 power play over nothing happened…Jared Boll is always so happy when someone scores it cheers me right up! Now if I could just get woken up…
11:39 Nagy took a penalty…Jackets on the power play.
11:36 GOAL!!! Gilbert Brule gets hist first of the year!! Jackets 2 Kings 0!!
11:33 Second period is underway. Let’s hope the Jackets get some more offense going.
11:26…Chad Lowe just made the prediction that the Jackets will win the Cup long before the Leafs win it again…take that TO!!! LEAFS SUCK!! Ya know…I still amaze myself with my hatred of the Leafs.
11:14…end of period 1…JACKETS 1 KINGS 0
11:07…commercial time
11:05…GOAL!! Jason Chimera got his 2nd goal of the season!! Chimera has serious wheels…my gosh.
11:04…we about had a short handed goal…but Labarbera stoned us again. Damn you goalie…damn you!
11:01…Jan Hejda took a tripping penalty…greeeaaaaaaaat.
10:58…shots are even 4 to 4…Russell got a chance but couldn’t capitalize.
10:54…commercial break…Jackets are looking ok, I have missed Modin a lot. Great to see him back.
10:52…Power play over and we weren’t able to do anything with it. We looked decent though.
10:49…Boll took a big hit…so BJ’s on the power play!!!
10:46…Chimera just had a great chance and Labarbera stood tall.
10:43…Pascal had a little incident early on but he’s been pretty sharp in the first 2:36…haha.
10:41…keys to the game…
1. Quick Start
2. Kopitars Line
3. Don’t let D jump in play
That seems easy enough.
10:39…things are already starting to get chippy. Chimmy is in must be feeling better after the flu. Modin is back and on the line with Nash.
10:38…Labarbera is in for the Kings…and Jackets win it off the faceoff.
10:36…Still waiting patiently for the puck to drop.
10:26…I’m getting sleepy but the game is almost here and I will be excited when that finally starts. Pascal Leclaire is in…pretty excited about it. They had a thing on Jiri Novotny who has been an amazing signing. I absolutely adore the fact that we are basically the same team as last year…just adding Michael Peca, Jiri Novotny, and Jan Hejda has paid off BIG time.
10:22…It’s about game time!! I’m getting pretty excited hopefully the boys get their legs moving early and we don’t have any issues acting lazy.
9:41…I love liveblogging!! I’m so excited this is the first one of the year. Some pre-game thoughts. Pascal being in…I have a good feeling a sense of calm. Also, I was reading on Puck-Rakers and apparently the Ducks are going after Boll.
Word on the beach is the Ducks are coming after Boll on Thursday. You’ll remember Boll took out Travis Moen with an open ice hit on Oct. 5, the season opener. Replays showed it was a shoulder, not an elbow. The hit was reviewed by the NHL, which deemed it clean and offered on suspension. The Ducks, privately, don’t much care about replay or the league office. They thought it was dirty, and they have long memories. Should be interesting.
Ducks…all I can say is that you better hope that Finny’s pep talk worked or we will SHA-LACK you again. I always get nervous when I hear things like they’re going to be looking for Boll especially in a post Bertuzzi world. But, I have faith that everything will be ok.

Who’s bench is talking about Boll? Honestly, a shoulder check is mild compared to other things that have happened to the Ducks this year, and no retribution has been taken. Call it a New Ducks Team. Look for the Ducks to put their heads down, and grind out a win, they need it more than revenge.

I think they need the win more too but it won’t surprise me in the least if they go after him tomorrow. And, I trust what Portzie says…my guess is that it’s Parros who’s wanting a piece of Boll.

Well, dear Bethany, we’re dropping the gloves tonight, eh? =)
I think my boys will keep a close watch on Boll and send a message if they feel it’s warranted (i.e. if he does anything even minutely suspicious). Otherwise, I think they’ll focus on getting a goal. Get the W… everything else doesn’t matter (not right now anyway).
So, yay for tonight! =)
