Alright boys, I think I have been nice to you. I haven’t yelled at you and told you that you’ve been playing like crap. I haven’t singled out those of you who need to step up. I haven’t done any of that. I have been patient, I have stood up for you, I have watched you win and watched you lose. I have been here, sitting waiting, I am tired of the mediocrity. I want you to play consistently, I want you to go out there every single night and play hard. I want you to throw everything at the goalie, I don’t want you to be intimidated by the name on the back of his sweater.
Zherdev, I know you have skills, seriously, you are one of the most amazing players I have ever seen in real life, but PLEASE, don’t go for the pretty move every single time. I mean when it works you’re a god when it doesn’t you look like a moron.
Boys, I know that we’re going through a lot of injuries right now. It’s not fair, I know that, and I know that we don’t have the depth to deal with them, I understand, but those of you who are still here and healthy, step up.
Nash, I know they’ve said you’re nursing a hip injury or something like that, but seriously, where did that 40+ goal scorer go? And, why do you NEVER score on a breakaway? Step it up kid, you’re an elite player, so start acting like it. AND, WHY DID YOU TAKE SO MANY PENALTIES AGAINST THE FLAMES?
Boys, the penalty kill is doing well, thank god, but, that power play? Come on!! We have an extra player on the ice, so why don’t you put the biscuit in the basket as they say. Yes, I am talking to you again Nash and you too Zherdev.
Boll, quit fighting, concentrate on scoring. Russell you’re trying too hard, stop thinking about scoring that first goal, it’ll happen when it happens, I promise. Pazzy, I love you, but it seems like something has been off with you.
Boys, we are 11th in the Western Conference. We are 3 points out of the playoffs, come on boys, that’s not a lot. Let’s finish this home stand, strong. We have the worst place team in the Western Conference in, and we need to beat them. We’re playing them in our barn, we need these two points. This home stand is important it will make or break us, do you want to be bottom feeders again this year?? I for one am tired of it. If everyone plays the way Hitch tells you to, we will be fine. Listen to your coach he knows the way!!
