Jackets 4 Hawks 0
By Bethany | March 27, 2008
The Columbus Blue Jackets rebounded last night at shutout the Hawks at home. Freddy Norrena made 17 saves to get his second shutout of the season and fifth of his short NHL career. Clay Wilson in his second NHL game got an assist and a goal and was named first star of the game. Aaron Rome got into his second fight of his NHL career two nights in a row. It was a great team effort with Michael Peca, David Vyborny, and also Joakim Lidstrom netting goals. The Chicago Blackhawks didn’t seem like they were ready to face us. They looked sloppy. While it may not seem like a big win, it was huge for us. Not because it was helping us make the playoffs but because we had a sloppy outing against the Nashville Predators…we got the crap kicked out of us, in just about every aspect of the game. We needed to get some confidence for the game against the Nashville Predators tomorrow night at home. It seems that the Columbus Dispatch is only focusing on Tootoo for this game, I agree with Ken Hitchcock, he is a non factor. The Jackets post game videos are up after the jump.
