    Hawks 6 Jackets 3

    By Bethany | March 15, 2008

Alright boys, nice try, what did you with my team? Mainly, what did you do to my goaltender?! Pazzy very rarely gets benched…what is up with that?! The Hawks opened the game up early, Cam Barker scored, followed by, Duncan Keith, and then they ended their first period scoring with Dave Bolland. The Jackets ended the first period by dominating the last five minutes, but Jackets fans know better. We don’t come back from that. I watched in horror as my team took the ice for the second period. Then, something wonderful happened, we scored….twice…coming within one of the Hawks. Freddy Mo scored, followed by Fritsche. The hope that we could possibly win came back into my heart. Then, the 5′2” Pat Kane stomped on my heart. (Seriously, that kid is amazing but he looks like he’s a baby out there!!) The Hawks were winning 4-2 when Rick Nash, my Cappy, scored an unassisted goal. Followed by a goal from Dustin Byfuglien and one from Andrew Ladd. Final score, Hawks 6 CBJ 3.

Now, there were a few things I wanted to talk about. First of all, we lost to Patrick Lalime, that sucks. Second, Nasher had a breakaway, I can’t remember what period, but he had one, and was hooked by Kane, and then another Hawk player, no penalty shot. Thirdly, Ron Hainsey, one of our blue liners, keeps it short and sweet when talking about the game, that’s one of the reasons I love him.

“Same thing, turnovers. We got the puck, we got possession, we gave it away, in our net. That’s never good, obviously.”

When we lose, it’s because we don’t follow Hitch’s plan. Here is Hitch’s post game press conference…after the jump

Here are the boys after the game also…
