Goodbye to you…
By Bethany | June 14, 2008
I figured it would be appropriate for me to say goodbye to our UFA’s. It really is sad to do this, it’s the end of an era…but, I am excited and hopeful for what the future holds for the Columbus Blue Jackets, but these guys deserve a HUGE thanks for all that they have done for our young franchise.
David Vyborny ~ I am so thankful for this man. He had an awful year this season, his worst as an NHLer. He was the only Blue Jacket that really gave his all for a long time, but, with his injury plagued season, and lack of scoring, it wouldn’t make sense for us to sign him. I wish him nothing but the best, and when (if) he comes back to Columbus he will get a huge round of applause from every single person in the crowd.
Ron Hainsey ~ Oh my dear Hainsey, I will miss those blue eyes of yours. For whatever reason, I’m not so bitter or mad that we aren’t going to have him back. He spent two and a half seasons in Columbus.
Michael Peca ~ As you probably know, I love me some Peca. And, when I think about not having him on my team, I get really sad. He was so good for us, we played better when he was on the ice with his team. He was a much needed center for us, and well, we still need, but it is becoming clear that he won’t be back.
Dick Tarnstrom ~ Uhm…I would rather have Glencross back.
