Check it!!

This is going to be a bit of a mega post, depending on how I feel, I have a bit of a cold.

BRULE

Today is Brule’s 21st birthday. Gilbert Brule was sent down to the minors yesterday, according to Scott Howson in today’s Dispatch he said,

“Gilbert’s been sick lately, and when he has played, he hasn’t played a lot of minutes,” general manager Scott Howson said. “We want him to have a little stretch here where he’s playing a lot, playing in all situations and playing 18 or 20 minutes a game.

“He’s been an elite player at every level so far except this one. The plan is for him to return and get back on track at the NHL level.”

The plan is to let Gilbert play 8 games in the minors, if he’s playing well, he’ll be recalled at that point in time. I think after Brule gets over the initial shock of being demoted he’ll be able to excel at that level.

INJURIES

Freddy Modin traveled with the team, he won’t be playing any of the games on the west coast, according to Puck-Rakers it could be as late as the end of the month when he comes back. Poor guy, as hard as it is on the fans, it’s even harder for him, it’s back spasms, so there’s not a lot you can do.

Manny Malhotra was taken off the IR this morning!! He will be playing in tonights game!! Not a moment too soon!!

Peca (not a concussion but kind of is a concussion cuz he keeps getting headaches) will not be in tonights game, but might play tomorrow, when Peca is in, we’re a better team, no doubt.

Vyborny has a slight groin strain, expect him back Saturday in San Jose, Puck-Rakers says that there is a slim possibility he will play tomorrow in Los Angeles.

GAME TONIGHT!!

We’re playing the Ducks tonight, so be sure to check out Finny’s blog. Here are the lines for tonight:

F3: Glencross, Fedorov, Lindstrom
F4: Shelley, Malhotra, Boll

We’ve been developing an amazing rivalry with the Ducks and tonights game should be a good one.

Leclaire is in net tonight.
