Are you ready?!?!?!?!

Because, I sure am not. Last year I felt so very prepared for the draft, I had my trusty media guide, with all the players, and as my friends and I drove up to Columbus we played the learn that prospect game. Interesting, I know. I have been busting my butt off trying to figure out who we are going to draft, and figure out what exactly our needs are for the future…what I have found they’re not much different than the here and now. Portzline talked about Brule, we had him as an NHL winger. Let’s admit our mistake, we brought him up too soon. Had we let him ripen a bit in the minors, and then bring him up…who knows the potential he could have had!?! He still could have that potential, I’m not saying he won’t, but we kind of did ruin him.
I have to wonder if we’d be doing the same thing to Brassard, or if we did the same thing to Russell, or what if we do it to Jakub?! I am kind of nervous about the draft tomorrow, but I am ready for it…I think. I will post my thoughts IMMEDIATELY after our pick tomorrow. I will be at home, with friends, having a draft party. Yes, I am a dork.
Also, the boys at the Dispatch are doing mock drafts…they are dorks too.

Tom Reed has the Blue Jackets picking Luke Schenn 6th, and Colby Robak 19th overall. Both are defensemen.

Aaron Portzline has the Blue Jackets picking Luke Schenn 6th, and Joe Colborne 19th. Colborne is a centre.
There is also going to be a guest Mock Draft, but it’s not up yet. I will add it tomorrow.
Shawn Mickens’ Mock Draft is up here.
He picks the same as Tom Reed, Luke Schenn at 6th and Colby Robak at 19th.
My guess is that the Jackets will hold onto that #6 pick, unless we get a dynamic offer.
