Dear Captain Adam Foote,
Thank you for all that you have done for my team. Thank you for all the Jordin Tootoo fights and for your leadership. I know that you wanted a bit more money and when it comes down to it, you have to do what’s best for your family. I am happy that you are going back to Colorado and am extremely happy that my good friend Jibbles will be able to take care of you.
I promise to remain a fan of yours for as long as you decide to play. I am absolutely devastated that you left but I completely understand. Thanks for all you did, and remember you’ll always be “Oh Captain My Captain” to me.

PS: Be sure to win that Cup!!!!! And, yes, this does mean that I am behind the Avs in the playoffs…if they get in…and also the Yotes because I told my twin.
PPS: Do we even have a leadership group on our team anymore? Just curious.

Joe Sakic will be happy. They came up together with Quebec, and I know he was sad to see him leave a couple of seasons ago.

I will take very good care of him. He already took good care of Iginla tonight, and he was a monster on the ice. I know you’re down, but I am really stoked.

LOL me too, now I just hope they get to raise that Cup one last time…it’d be worth losing Foote for that for sure.
