Dating younger men? Come on Bethany, you are really getting picky. I mean, you’ve come to terms with the Jackets so why can’t you put up with a recent high school graduate?
And I think your skates might be laced and/or tied too tight if your toes are cold.

Foote deserves all the media criticism that has been heaped upon him and then some mostly because he was dishonest about the whole thing.
Maybe I’m holding a former captain to a higher standard, but my sources in the organization have let me know that not one person in that locker room thinks highly of how the Colorado thing went down.
No players have tossed Foote under the Greyhound, but that’s the culture of the NHL (and Sean Avery’s not a CBJ).

I don’t think that he deserves it. While I’m sure your sources let you know that no one is happy with the situation, I probably could have told you that also. I’m not happy with the way things went down either. Everyone is unaware of how things went down, not too many people are privy to that information, and the people that are, don’t talk about it.
Here is what I know. Foote was the Captain, he had a great season with us here. When he signed we gave him a no-trade clause, we also gave him a ‘C’, Foote is the best Captain to date (not including Nash), Adam Foote is now a member of the Colorado Avalanche, again. He’s playing well there, and is having success. Good on him, we got a first round draft pick that we can use to hopefully get a top line center. The Dispatch needs to get over it, and stop writing about it, because no one cares. I will leave it at that.

It’s fair to have a different opinion. But you’d be hard pressed to find many hockey writers, players, or management types that will side with Foote. That’s no accident. Especially since he’s generally been a well-liked player over his career.
Getting over it isn’t really the point with me. I’m okay with him being gone. But I call it like I see it.
